This year, Lake Mary Prep is excited to announce the return of the annual middle school dance. This event is open to all 6th through 8th grade students. It will take place in the LMP gymnasium on Apr. 9, 2022 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Student Juliana Brown is ready to celebrate with friends before moving onto high school.

“I am very excited for the middle school dance. I’m looking forward to being with my friends and seeing everyone in their formal attire,” said Brown.

Middle school Student Government President Isabella Penagos, Vice President Violet Burch, and Secretary Sanvi Reddy, and the rest of the representatives have been hard at work to give their peers a great experience. The preparations for this event started in early January when the students came back from winter break. This year’s theme is “A Night in Paris,” and the dress code is semi-formal.

Sanvi Reddy is excited for her first formal dance with her peers.

“I love this year’s theme. It’s going to be nice, sweet, and a fun time with friends. I am also delighted that this is the first [dance] since the COVID pandemic started.”
